Our touch screen is ghosting too. I pulled the fuse, cleaned it really good, put some Pledge wax on it, then calibrated it. Helped it some. When it starts acting up I raise it (the compartment door) up, touch screen goes dead but the radio and manual controls all work and the DIC is not affected. Lots of info on Youtube on this deal.

Get yourself a new torque converter and have the thermostat pulled out of the trans.
