Good afternoon to all,

Glad to be finally here. Came from the family of BMWs and recently sold my Audi. Decided to go American! Today picked up a 2010 white LT with convenience and luxury (if I am naming them right) packages. I'd like to do with things to get it fully to my liking. Any feedback would be appreciated.
1. Rims. I really like white with chrome lip and do like the way 26s look based on online photo review. However, I don't want my vehicle to look "ghetto". Any thoughts?
2. Looking for a custom subwoofer enclosure. Having a big box sit in the truck is a no go. I found one that goes under the center arm rest, but it will not fit my JL Audio 10w6 which I would like to use.
3. This is my first mod to be. Projector headhights. I want bi-xenon 4-5k candle power. Pure white, no blue to it, no halo rings, just clean, custom, OEM, look. Found this guys, customlightz.com but second guessing their quality. Anyone else out there worth trusting?
4. Apple TV to work for both rear TV and front in dash. I don't want to have it plugged in, but rather "tapped" into the factory system and well hidden.
5. What is the good 3.5mm to Bluetooth A2DP for music streaming? Or any other options?
6. For my Audi, I had VCDS diagnostic tool which saved me a ton of money on troubleshooting when it came to problems. Any similar for GM vehicles?
7. Any good quality chevy badges out there (looking to replace to white)?
8. Would like to change interior lights to LEDs (as well as license plate and fogs). Does this vehicle check for bulb errors meaning I will need to get ones with build in resistors?
Again, I apologize for many questions and I will continue to research this thread but in meanwhile, any feedback would be great.

Thanks!

#6 I use the Torque app on my phone and pair it to a bluetooth OBD scanner (I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NLQAHS/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

#7 You can check ebay, but really you're going to have to remove the badges, prep and paint them yourself or get a shop to do it.

#8 There aren't any bulb error indicators apart from hyperflashing on the signals if you switch them out with LEDs. Most people on here get all of their LEDs from VLEDs.com (http://www.vleds.com/07-up-chevy-tahoe-gmc-yukon-denali-led-map-dome-cargo-light-bulbs-5-pack.html), but I bought all of mine from this seller on ebay and have had zero issues in 2 years: http://www.ebay.com/sch/silverimage3/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

Thank a lot for feedback, man. Either new members are not welcomed here, either I asked too many questions as once, or the forum is dead compared to other ones, as I expected to get more input. Anyways, the suggested OBDII scanner seems limited in terms of functionality. How is it in comparison to GM MDI Communication Module? I guess chevy does not yet have the computer catch the bulb-out error and instead used old-school hyperflashes. Either way, it is due to fact of wrong wattage and in this case does require resisters. Thank you.

No problem, wish I had answers to the other questions for you. New members usually do fine here, but if the right people don't see the thread, you're going to get crickets. It's not nearly as many of us here as say Honda-Tech or something, so it's tougher. Let me know if you need any more clarification or any additional help and I'll do my best.

My ADD kicked in after the first couple of questions ... :)

1. Chrome rims look beautiful on a white Tahoe. 'Ghetto' is a subjective term and is more dependent on wheel design than size, although anything bigger than 26s can be perceived as ghetto. 24" is my personal favorite on these trucks, but many like their 26s and most roll on 22s.

2. dunno

3. Long answer there. You can click on the yellow link in my signature for a lot of info, and on the two blue links for some examples of projector retrofits. I'm happy to answer any specific questions you may have. If you want an easy off the shelf solution blackflamecustoms sells them as a package for your truck.

4. dunno

5. dunno

6. I think it's called a Tech II but I could be mistaken ... someone else will know exactly what it is called, but yes there's such a diagnostic tool.

7. I'm not sure if there are off the shelf Summit White bowties out there. But you can just get an OEM set and have the gold part painted white, or you can just have yours painted if you don't mind rolling without them for a couple of days.

8. As mentioned above I just use v-leds for all led bulbs.

Hope that helps you get started.

For the sub if you have bucket seats they make a box that fits in between them for 1 10" and that sounds perfect for you if you don't want to go with the center console route

Almost there...

Thanks to everyone for replies. Had to go away for work and just now have time to reply.
1. Still debating. Thinking about 26s form Craigslist and then custom powder coat.
2. MTX looks good to me. It will house my JL Audio 10w3v3 and is well hidden underneath center counsel.
3. Spoke with Mr. Song from customlightz and decided to go with their quad-mini projector: http://customlightz.com/?p=p_248&sName=tahoe
4. Solved. 12v Apple TV: http://www.mikegyver.com/AppleTV-in-Car/
CradlePoint Wifi Router and all connected to GMX650 lock pick.
5. No need since the Apple TV supports AirPlay.
6. Still deciding.
7. Will paint as it seems the only solution so far (no vinyl).
8. There are plenty out there but seems line vleds are most recommended.

Thanks guys.

Check out...

Retroshop.us, although relatively new to the retrofit market, Jeremy has been doing them on the side for a while and is highly looked at in the Dodge world.

I speak highly of him as I have done business with him AND he lives within 20 miles of me.

I can hunt him down if anything goes wrong.

He use quality parts and truly cares about outcome and service.
