Welcome Ken. SuperchargedSS can help you out with any of your GM parts needs, including those mysterious CK375s. I have a 2007 Tahoe. That year the transmission was only a 4-speed. I'm averaging 15.5 mpg right now. On long road trips I see 21+. A few years back I went home to Utah and ended up with a 2010 Tahoe which had the 6-speed transmission. I kept checking the fuel economy I was seeing on that thing. Even in a strong headwind on a 4 hour road trip I managed to average 17.7. That's what sold me on the Tahoe. So, it seems like 17.5 is right on with what I experienced.

SuperchargedSS - thanks for your offer but I think I am working a deal with the dealer to pick one up cheap.

PS my mileage on a trip was at 20-21 mpg, but is averaging 17-18 around town. Since I had the hybrid, it taught me how to drive for economy, the fanatics call it "hypermiling". My "DIC" (no snide remarks) shows me when the 5.3L is in a v8 or v4 mode. I guess the new V8s work that way.

dealer and cheap usually don't go hand in hand, but sounds like a plan! :Handshake:
