I just recently got my 5.0c a few months ago. I was BSing with another Tahoe guy and he said that hes got a new version and its better than mine.

He's usually a one upper so i dont usually don't believe him. But, just incase, Is there a new one out? I went to gmnavdisc.com and it just gave me a part# and i have no idea which one mine is.

Thanks joey

As far as I know, 5.0c is the latest official disc out.

Or do you mean newer navigation system? In 2009 models and above, they have features like real-time traffic, and even though this isn't dependent on the radio, Bluetooth and iPod hookup.

Whats the difference between the nav head units? When did they make a change with updates? I am looking at getting the nav unit and want one out of a 2009m is that the latest?

The latest would be the 2009-2010, but all you gain is the real-time traffic. A lot of people think that if you get this system you also get the Bluetooth/iPod features but these are very different components that don't depend on the radio. To get USB connectivity, you have to upgrade the entire center console, and to get Bluetooth you have to upgrade the OnStar VCIM.

Sorry if I'm hijacking, but what do you mean by the Onstar VCIM?

I really want bluetooth in my 07 XL Denali but don't really want to spend the $200 for Coastaltech lockpick plus another $100+ for a Parrot bluetooth car kit. Do I have any other options?

Thanks!

Wrong. There is a thread about this on gm-trucks forum. People have bought the '10 radios on ebay... part of their truck had to get reprogrammed to get ipod connectivity I believe, but they had the ability to have the cord come out of wherever in their center console they wanted

Really?! And their vehicles are Tahoes/Yukons? I'll check into it more, thanks Steve. I know that the Sierra/Silverado owners have to do that but their USB ports are in a different location so I thought that made a difference.

I was able to locate the USB input part as well as its data cable...but I don't know what to do from there.

And Bryan - the VCIM is the OnStar module; if you find and buy a module that fits your truck (I can give you a part number) and it has Bluetooth, it is a direct swap. I think you may lose OnStar's handsfree calling but it retains all the emergency services while adding Bluetooth to your truck.

what is the Onstar module part number that will allow us to get Bluetooth? Also is it a direct swap out for our current Onstar module?
