Just picked up a 2011 for the wife, I plan on making it look not so much like a "mom" truck (this is what a few people have called it) so i have a few questions:
1. What is the biggest wheel/tire overall diameter that fits under a stock height (4x4) truck?
2. Blacked out taillights..covers or sprayed or tinted? which is prefered for these trucks
3. CAI systems... which is prefered for these trucks?

Check your state laws first. Don't waste money on something you can't use,

and something that's gonna get your wife a traffic ticket.

I would have them professionally spray tinted (please do not use the Autozone can spray crap).

1. That really depends what you mean by biggest ... you have to specify if you're keeping your stock rims, what size said rims are or the ones you'd like to swap to, and if you want width with thin sidewall or a more off-road look.

2. Yup, professionally lightly tinted by a painter and no spray or tint sheets ... and keep the backup light clear.

3. I dunno this. :)

Welcome aboard!

Get them tinted, not blacked out. Also don't use spray can paint or covers.
Examples:
Covers on tails from a long time ago

Slightly tinted tails

Near blacked out tails

Slightly tinted new tails

BTW, no need to worry about cops as long as you keep them light. The only time a cop mentioned my tails (gave me a ticket too) is when I had the covers.

Let me clarify.."tinted tail lights" not blacked out

My statement still stands.... check your state law on tinted lights.

Never give cops probable cause to pull you over. They love it.

I will save him the time. No states allow tinted tails, with that said he sounds interested in them so now he has his options.

^ +1!

This is why my front windows do not have a tint to them. No need to get pulled over for this crap.
