Decided to take the oem cd player out and throw in a alpine.... well...it works.. but sounds half as loud/good as the stock one did.. wtf... 50X4 not pushing as much power as the stock deck did? turn up the factory amp?... or.... am i missing something. - I am about to yank the alpine out because im not pleased at all!... :emotions122:

i searched for about 15 min before i started a thread.. sorry if this turns out to be a easy fix..

If it is a bose system and you did the quick bypass, that is how it is because the speakers are 8ohm I believe. You can either put in a new set of coax's that will sound better or run a 2 or 4 channel amp on the factory stuff(how mine us for the moment) and bring it up a little. If it is bose and you used a bose integration module many of them have adjustments for this reason. My burb wasn't loud at all when I installed an Eclipse unit and bypassed the bose. I now have a Rockford t400.4 on the factory bose, it's louder, but doesn't sound near as good as the Diamond D6's I will install as soon as I get off my lazy ass and do it.
