I took a few minutes to ck the ujoints on the front shaft and the joint at the front diff had a hard spot in it but wasn't loose or anything.
So I put a new joint in it and ran it home this evening and the noise and vibe completely gone!!!!! No new front shaft for this autotrac....

about 4.5 inch in the front but only 3.5 in the rear so the drive shaft angle isn't at a bad angle-thats why I couldn't believe my front shaft was making the noise-vibration-just goes to show ya to double check ujoints not only for play but also take down and ck for stiffness....:hands:

i havent replaced my drive shaft yet since i installed my lift (aug) cause i figured it would be a no go. But it looks like i'll be getting my exhaust pipe re-routed and putting the shaft in to see what happens. Maybe i will get lucky as well and can save 450 bucks.

who knows- give it a shot, most spindle lifts shouldn't need a new shaft
- alot of upper and lower a-arm dop kits will need a new shaft.
-get the exhaust reworked and slap the shaft in and try - the worst that can happen is you have to take the shaft back out
