I am coming from 40+ years of driving an F150. A 2025 Tahoe Premier shows up in a few weeks.
Catalytic converter theft is a big thing with F150's . I have always added a plate that covers the catalytic converter on my trucks.
It doesn't guarantee that it won't be cut out, but increases the trouble of stealing it by a lot.

Is this a problem with a Tahoe?

I think location of the vehicle is a critical factor involving catalytic converter thefts.

Trucks and SUV’s are easier to slide under and cut the converters off - due to more ground clearance and perhaps more room under the chassis - exposing the converters more.

If you’re in an area that is prone to the thefts - you may want to add the plate you spoke of.

Although I owned GM vehicles for more than 50 years, I traded a 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4 (purchased new and my first Ford) for my 2024 Tahoe Premier 4x4. The Ford quality was poor, Ford had issues providing repair parts in a timely manner, and the dealer service was also bad.

Good luck with your new Tahoe - you’ll really like it.

Had converters stolen off 1 of my personal vehicles (a car) and 2 of our company vehicles, and one of them was behind locked chain link fences with barbed wire.

If this thought is even in your mind you should be parking it in a garage.
