That's the dealer your working with. They can make a purchase agreement before its built. We had a Yukon ordered with a dealer in Wyoming, I had a purchase agreement, build sheet, and signed paperwork for deposit before they even had allocation. Dealer never received allocation after several weeks, so we cancelled the order. When purchasing ANYTHING, there is always something they can give you that locks you into an agreed sale.
Thank you.

i’m going to ask him again because I have asked and they said not until there’s a Vin number, but I do have emails stating that I okayed out the door price in order to place the order and I did sign a $2000 deposit agreement they have not taken out yet because the vehicle is not ordered.

OK I sent him an email, he replied back that they cannot do it without a Vin number. Now all of a sudden the price that we agreed to is no longer applicable, “they’re no longer doing supplier pricing for educators” - but we were doing normal supplier pricing not educator or college. Ugh.

It’ll work out in the end. I have a family friend that will get me a code. :)

I'm sorry, that is so aggravating! I went through a bunch of shady dealers before I found ours 1500 miles away. Its getting worse by the week. No one would honor supplier pricing for me either. Good luck to you, I hope something works out.

Thanks.
This is a crappy time to be buying vehicles. Even housing!

I contacted another dealership in Florida. They seem to be popular - Rivard GMC (?) they have SLTs right now. I’m hoping they can still make an order and have allocation. Otherwise, I may just have to wait for a ‘22.

Ok so my order is being held up anyways. No technology package available. Well… I guess a 2022 it is. Or maybe I’ll get lucky & get it by August/ Sept.

Thats so disappointing. Start calling smaller city dealerships. That is how I found ours. Go state by state, rural areas. If you cant find one on a lot or in transit, it may be a 2022. Hopefully 2022 wont be such a crap shoot.

Why not call McGonigal GMC in Kokomo they have an SLT on the lot and allocations for two more and they honor employee pricing not sure about supplier. Ask for Lori.

I've had multiple chances to order Tahoe, Yukon or Escalade test drove two and have seen a couple dozen on the lots since last summer. Sales persons trying to talk me into a deal and I'm not even interested just curious. They are out there but wait till next summer and you'll actually be able to test drive something in your color choice unless we get hit by a really big asteroid.

Thanks. I’m looking for my Denali, and more local. I found a couple, and how much they’re selling for supplier- the trick is to figure out if they’re willing to sell it for supplier.

supplier pricing is via an employee so I’d sure hope they would honor it.
