New Tahoe owner, looking to hook her up

Whats up Tahoe forums, proud owner of a new (to me) tahoe. Just got it today, 07 ltz, 5.3 flex, autoride suspension.... i think, i hear a compressor going off everytime i start it. first thing i would like to do is drop it, its on 26's now but going down to 24's. whats a good kit?

Yes, you do have Autoride. I think it is harder to drop it if you have it, if I remember correctly.

bad news, just hit 75-80 on he freeway and its shakes like crazy, what could it be? i took the wheels to get balanced immediatly and same result.

dang mine does it a little bit about 60mph but when i get up to 75+ it does not shake at all. Post a picture of your tahoe it looks sick to me, it looks like it is gun metal color

Thanks man, its matte black. ive been looking for a tahoe for some time now and came across this one, it was a hard decision cause the color but the price was right. cpouple things i didnt like about it, the rims, the ride height and the grill. painted the grill to match (as close as i could) for now ill get it painted w same paint as truck in the future.

as far as the shaking it almost feels like a wheels gonna fly off, how a hubcentric issue? i need to get this issue fixed. its annoying as heck.

Yeah man that Tahoe is clean, I like it.
I would go down to 24s and a 3/5 drop to make it more fun.
Also you made a wise choise to paint the girlle all black like that.

Also yeah that shaking has almost got to be a hubcentic issue. Get some hub rings to get rid of that.

Thanks man, the grill was an easy choice and one i could get done the minute i got home. can i do a 3-5" drop w autoride? i was also gonna get the rims powder coated but im gonna try and get rid of them first, there a lil scuffed so im having a harder time then i thought.

Yeah you can 3/5 with Autoride, just take some extra modifications. It will be plug and play if you 2/4 it though.
Yeah if they are scuffed never mind, but those rings are far too overpriced. Rings should never run more than $20.

cant pm, but ya there scuffed on one side pretty bad. where can i find the rings for less? i think im going with the 2/4 2/3 drop.
