That is a good point! I say if you're keeping it for 10+ years then buying new makes sense then as well :waytogo:

Also don't be afraid to get a slightly used LTZ. You'll save thousands!! Even if it's an '11 but has just a few thousand miles on it  just some food for thought as you lose so much value on brand new rides...

+1 Best way to go.

That still doesn't justify driving thousands of dollars off the lot because it is new. You could've got your same denali with 20k miles and a year older at a wayyyyyyy cheaper price. You said you were keeping it till the wheels fall off, so 10+ years right? What's a year older and a few thousand miles to save a LOT of money? I get your point though, just my 2 cents. :Handshake:

I see your point I just think why not have it new if ur gonna have that long. Why not know that it was well driven and taken care of if u can afford it with the same options...

Good point. I guess if you have a spare 5k-10k laying around it's no big deal :chicken:

Thanks guys for all of your insight. I have no problem saving some coin for a couple thousand miles. I live in so cal. The only thing is that was looking for possibly a silver one and maybe white. I love white. But the silver is cool too. I have the mod bug so the moment I get it the change begins. I looked around so cal for a used one and no luck on the silver one a few whites but nothing newer then 09. Maybe I'll wait til the 12s come out I kinda like the fact that I know where the vehicles been. But hey I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks again guys. This forum is gunna be awesome

No prob man. I see 05nali's point though. If I had 50k instead of 35k to spend on a vehicle, I guess I would've bought a new one too!

Well for me an extra 20k is a year+ lost of driving that vehicle before I am forced to buy another one. Just like the truck before my Yukon I plan on driving it until it is no longer feasible to drive it(maintenance exceeding possible car payment). My last truck got over 300k on it before I got rid of it because of replacing the tranny twice and other things. Also if you are getting a new car every couple years I guess getting used is a must to not to be throwing money away. To each their own.

20k miles when you keep it for 300k miles is nothing when you keep it that long though... especially since the same vehicle new would cost me 15k more BEFORE tax title license. In your theory, i'd keep the car until 320k and pocket the $15,000 principal I just saved.

As I said... To each their own. It's not a theory, it is an opinion. I personally would prefer new since I would be keepin it for its life. I would know exactly where and how the miles were put on it. Also I never claimed buying new would save money.
