Not sure. Maybe it was a deal between GMC and Chevy so as to not entirely cannabalize the Denali line?

That would be my guess exactly, as I would have been one of those to consider a burb with a 6.2. Like the lines on the Chevy. Audi did the same thing by eliminating AWD from the VW car line-up for that exact reason.

Hell would have saved me time and money in wrapping / debadging the chrome off my denali. GM is following a popular trend. BMW, Audi, MB and now the Japanese brands are all offering "black optics" / "shadow line" / etc which eliminates the chrome.

I wonder if GMC will do anything to keep their market share. I know I will trade in for one of these if GMC doesn't offer something similar. The only thing they seemed to have missed was the interior. Still has wood grain in places. They should have followed some styling cues from the GMC Sierra all terrain. That will probably be something that's changed for 2019 model year.

It's a Chevy badged Denali (if equipped with the 6.2L) and an optional big brake package?? I'm sure it will sticker for similar money as a Denali. Would be nice to see GMC offer the 10 speed and a big brake package

Question: Are the Brembo brakes front and rear calipers or is it just the front? Honestly my OCD would kick in and it would kill me to see those red calipers on only 1/2 the truck.

The 6.2 plus the 10 speed are definitely appealing especially if I can get the truck optioned out the same way my current truck is optioned but I'd probably give chevy a year or two to sort the bugs out and maybe jump on something like this in the 2019 or 2020 model year....

Does anyone know when/if a body style redesign is due?

2020 is supposed to be Silverado/Sierra. SUV and HD to follow after that.

Just front calipers. I notice that the "big brake kit" is now offered as a GM Accessory -
