I had new BFG KO2s 275/55/20s installed and had my '13 Suburban aligned.

When I turn hard right the right front tire just rubs the mudflap (I installed them). There is plenty of clearance on the left side.

Is this an alignment issue or is that just the way it is?

Of course the knee jerk reaction from the service writer is that I'm using too aggressive of a tire and it is what it is....

Having a complete set of before and after alignment readings should tell us a lot. The setback is what I am worried about. Sounds like there is a part of body or frame pushed around. Are you the original owner and know it has never been wrecked? :hmmm2:

Could be the caster changed on that side. If its only slight Id bet on that. If not look to make sure its not being pushed out toward the tire some on that one side. When I got new rims and tires on my 07 it did that on the drivers side. Had it realigned at a different place and it didnt help. Turns out to be pushed toward the tire there for me.

If it's only hitting the mudflap you installed, remove mudflap and call it a day! Unless the truck is pulling to the left or right.

Removing the mud flap will cure the rub but it won't answer the question of why it does it. I am betting the alignment readings will tell us, if done right, or that the body is moved or frame is funky. Need to measure the wheelbase on each side. Make sure the wheels are pointed straight ahead. Measure from the centerline at the back of the front wheel and all the way back to back of rear wheel, again on the centerline and that will let you know if is frame or wheel location/alignment problems.

I know this is a knee-jerk reaction because 275/55/20 is the tire size that all the GMT900 SUVs with optional 20" wheels came with

Or unscrew it, move it 1/8" and reinstall! Then you can call it a day! lol

I'm running 305-40-22 tires on stock Escalade wheels and I have the exact same issue, factory mud flaps and it only rubs on the right side at full lock and only when backing up?
