Good Morning all
I saw the site while googling for 4WD controls in a Tahoe. You guys and girls were right at the top.
We are the second owner of a 1999 Tahoe, 4D, 4x4, barn doors. We got it about 3 years ago - purely accidential, no planing. We needed an extra car just for a year and it showed up. And now we have decided to keep it. It's a nice car.
Other than the Centurion aftermarket package, it is pretty stock. The previous owner changed out the wide, alloy rims (like 10") to normal sized tires and steel wheels 235-70 - 15.
Since we are going to keep it, it needs a few things:
Right now it is under 2 feet of snow (yes - literally). It hasn't moved since fall. And the battery is low - lights come on, but won't crank. I should have it dug out next month and will get started. First thing will be to get the build numbers - saw a thread on that too.
I appreciate the forum. Lots of collected knowledge.

I want to be able to tow a 6500lb cargo trailer. It has a good receiver hitch (factory), hopefully that means it has the tow package, lower gears, and is wired for a brake controller. And, of course, it needs a brake controller. Mirrors are okay as long as the trailer is under 8' wide.
The 4WD lights blink at me occasionally when it is cold (<-20F). I saw a thread on the fix for this.
I've got a clunk in the back when I'm taking off. I figured it was universals, but I saw the thread on the nickle yoke. I'll look at that.
Fix the airconditioner - I don't know anything about this. This will be a take it to the shop. Even up here there are a few weeks a year when it is nice to have -
