I was referring to nnbs yukon lights, the mounting tabs are very very easy to break, and with the complex angles of the hood, fender, bumper, and grille, for some reason its hard for them to get the fitments exact, its like a hexagon shaped light housing.Why do you say that? Mine came in boxes that had foam poured around them for protection, no way could anything break. Even tabs sticking out. As far as fitment, same thing- read the reviews and buy the quality brands. You can buy any brand on EBay, not just the cheap stuff. Sure, you can get the cheap crap that doesn't fit or work but if you read the reviews on the product you're buying, it's no worse than any other place you buy. You can even get OEM stuff on there including from the big online GM dealers. Order some nnbs yukon headlights and find out. Mine also had foam and was packaged well, the tabs on them stick out like targets, poor handling and their broke, and some brands probably do fit better than others, you’re right, thats why I said “watch”. Not everything on eBay has reviews on that specific item, and as far as sellers I got mine from a seller with 280,000 reviews and 99.6% positive feedback, they came broke, they are sending a replacement tho, probably not their fault, the tabs are luck of the draw. If you're going to replace the lifters, then yes you need to pull the heads.Well just bought a set of headers from our classifieds.now I'm wondering if i should take care of the lifter noise while im at it. Looks like the heads have to come off to do it...?
I would do a cam, lifters, springs, pushrods and timing set and you might as well do an oil pump too since it will be right there. For cam, lifters, pushrods and springs I highly recommend Vinci High Performance. If you shoot them an email and explain what your goals are ( what type of idle, if you want to keep stock stall, power desires,etc.) Roger Vinci himself will get back to you with recommendations and set you up with a kit. He sells GM Performance lifters. All the rest is VHP. They're about the only company I know of who grind cams specifically for SUV's. I have their Trucker cam, dual valve springs, hardened pushrods, Vitron seals and Yella Terra full roller rockers in my blown Denali. It screams.Is there a certain brand thats recommended. I was also thinking about a cam, fresh springs and timing chain. Brian tooley racing was recommend. I use my yukon for minor pulling and part time dd. I dont want to have to use a stall, still want the low end grunt. But i know theres a lot of hp you can gain from a good cam.
