Replace all fluids. That's the first thing I do when I buy used.

Oh, and keep an eye on the front diff. Don't neglect it. It's STUPID expensive to replace. Ask me how I know....

Previous owner was mechanic and replaced all fluids at 200k, has about 222k now. Maintenance history also shows all fluids were changed at the scheduled service times as well.

Welcome to the forum from Iowa. Looks great.

Might look and see how your rear air compressor and shocks are looking as well. If you decide to replace those, Arnott is what I would suggest.

I would also look at new plugs and wires unless they have been done recently.

Arnott is junk. You loose the auto/mag ride and I’ve seen plenty of the airbags wadded up because they came loose, the top hat loose and sliding free, and most recently I saw one where the top mount came off and the rest of the shock beat the crap out of the auxiliary heater pipes. Just buy the GM ones from Rock Auto if you need them.

Interesting. Hadn’t heard this about Arnott. I have been using Arnott AS2708’s on my vehicles for almost 10 years, starting with my ‘07, ‘08 and ‘09, with no trouble at all. I will be putting some on my ‘13 very soon. Yes You lose auto-ride if you go with the AS2700’s but the reman’d AS2708’s maintain autorude dampening.

News to me too. He prolly meant the version that’s made to defeat z55 / z95. Arnott is invested in their own future by constantly evolving their product to far exceed oem. They pay with poor workmanship and engineering when lifetime warranty products fail.

When purchased directly from factory, they pay for postage too. Not disputing a bad experience by any means though, keep the facts coming.

Well I just bought non-autoride Arnott for the front so we'll see how that goes!

Nice buy. I second the factory replacement parts for autoride or remove it all completely. Including replacing the rear springs with a non autoride set. Weak and failing autoride ruins the stability to almost an unsafe level while driving. Especially if the front alignment isn’t perfect.
