I doubt his 17 needs belts and hoses. My 16 still has the original belts and hoses at 168K and they are still perfect.

I don’t buy lottery tickets because I don’t believe in luck. I also haven’t got the time to deal with a blown radiator hose in rush hour traffic, or a snapped belt on cold startup in the morning.

I replaced all of mine at 100k (which happened to be this last year) for peace of mind for the next 100k.

I’ve seen too many low mileage/years sitting timing belts snap to trust old rubber.
