Just picked this up for a crazy good price so i couldn't pass it up. I'm under the impression that with the exception of Black Bear, Wheatley, and Nelson being superior for spot on tuning, the diablosport trinity is a pretty good tool for tuning and can be custom tuned. Right now I have the 93 tune loaded just to see what it's like. I'm heading out for a ~1000 mile road trip tomorrow and I'm curious if anyone has one and has tried the economy tune and to what kind of results.

yes, It was about a month old. I loaded the 93 tune onto the truck for the trip north and left all other setting stock. This yielded about 19mpg running at ~76mph with cruise and AC on the entire way. Little bursts here and there to get past traffic etc while cruising. I loaded the 87 tune for the way home and removed DoD and also reduced the torque mgmt for only the 1-2 shift just to play a bit while I was on vacation. The trip home yielded about 20mpg with the same cruising and AC, although this time there were no 4cyl change overs and there was also 1 extra adult and two kids in the car.
I loaded the economy tune on for a spell while I was on vacation and didn't like the feeling of the 4cyl mode hanging on so long during in town driving. I may try it on my next business trip to see how well it hangs in 4cyl mode while cruising at 75. All in all, happy with the extra power. I need to play with the setting and get a custom tune for this Trinity. I think I can reduce the torque mgmt quite a bit with this thing and not be in danger of damaging the drive train. I may try to reduce a bit more across the gear range and see how it feels. Shifts in general with the can tune are very nice and quick right now to begin with.

So you can turn the AFM off with this?

That's interesting. Is it a simple ON/OFF with the AFM, or does it give you the ability to adjust parameters within the AFM? And thanks for getting back to me on the last question!
It's a simple on/off as far as removing it completely. I verified that it doesn't switch into V4 mode as well. As for adjusting the parameters when it's on, I think the only thing you can do is actually load the canned economy tune. When doing that, it keeps the truck in V4 mode a bit longer. I tried it while on vacation and not during a long road trip type scenario and I couldn't stand the lack of power. Since it stays in V4 mode longer, when you give it gas driving in the city it just feels bogged a bit. My guess is that since I could actually feel it, it would be a considerable benefit on flat highway running the cruise between 70-75. However, I didn't have the patience for it on this trip. I may try it when I need to make a road trip for work across Florida.
