New to site. New Yukon owner.

hey Guys, new to the site here. Just picked up a 1995 Yukon 2-Dr with 112,000 miles. Original owner. Pretty much all original. Anxious to start modding... Any recommendations for first mods? Looking for best bang for the buck. Also, curious of any common problems I should keep an eye out for....

Welcome to the Forum , one of the best things to do to these trucks IMO is to take off the side molding cheap and easy

I agree on ditching the side moldings and rear badges. Tint, HID's and color matching are always good cheap mod's also. Any pictures of your Yukon? Post them up and we can give you some suggestions

Only rear trouble area's on the 1995's are transmissions. 4L60E's are not the best transmissions ever, but they are not terrible either. Like any older truck, it's something to watch for. The TBI 5.7's are fairly reliable motors IMO.

welcome. I'll also say remove the molding, stickers, emblems and all that. Paint the frame and wheel wells after a good cleaning.

already removed emblems. still debating on removing the moldings. what do you recommend for painting the frame and wheel wells? flat black or semi gloss black? what brand paint?

is a leveling kit worth while? not really wanting to do a full on suspension lift just yet.

All 3 of my trucks I've use a cheap frame paint from an automotive store or hardware store. Wisconsin winters are brutal on frames, so the paint will chip away anyways. I just go over it good once in spring, and once in the fall.

I do have some POR-15 stuff I've been wanting to use. Maybe this year before snow fall I will try it out.

The leveling kits for the OBS trucks are really not worth it. You are better off just saving up for a lift kit if that's what you want to do. All the leveling kits for these trucks are is just a expensive way of cranking your factory key's up

X2 on all this , iand as for the type of paint i just use a flat black i wouldnt use gloss or anything
