Hello all,
I'm new to the forum (was over at GMFullSize and then found this forum) and recently picked up a 2009 Tahoe LT3. That being said, it's time to get some mods going!

First off, it's a 2009 Tahoe LT3 Black/Black and I think I want to put a nice 2/3 drop and some 24"s on it. I'm looking for a very classy look, more sport truck than bling bling and whatever I do has to be extremely low maintenance and daily driver friendly. I have already debaged and color-matched my bowties and would like some opinions on a drop and wheels.

To give you some idea of where my tastes lie, I'm a huge fan of billett wheels like the Rushforth Wildsides (1), but don't want to pay $1K per wheel. I'm heavily considering the Dub Dirty Dog 6 (2), but would like some other opinions on what to do. Thanks in advance, I look forward to becoming an active member of the forum!

Welcome and I would go with the 2nd set. I like the 1st but I think it is to much of a deep dish and the rims just look small like that. I would go with a 2/3 spindle kit.

Thanks guys! Your Tahoes look awesome! What type of suspension would you go with for the best ride quality?

Welcome to the forum. I'm also on GMFS but rarely visit over there as this forum fulfills what I'm looking for. First wheels get my vote but I think both of them would look good. Congrats on the recent purchase!

:welcome:

If you want a classey look, stay away from anything DUB. If you can afford $1K a wheel look at Lexani, Momo, Auto Couture or anything from Modular Society, HRE, IForged, Asanti, Vellano or anything forged.

Also, I like the top wheels better, except for the hub. 24's should not have a hub sticking out in my opinion

Welcome on man, I agree on going with a 2/3 spindle/coil drop to get good comfort, Belltech 3" drop coils ride the best after the Pedders 3" rear coils.
Also like said above, stay away from DUB if you want classy, ther wheel are alright and all but the name of the company is whack to me!
And all the wheel that Conor posted are expensive as hell, all starting well above $1000/wheel so I don't know if you really want that.
Try brands like Dropstar, KMC, American Racing and Giovanna Group (Also known as WTW wheels) whole wheel line.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! There is obviously alot to learn before I start modding my Tahoe, but this seems like the right place!

I'm not keen on spending $1K/wheel at all and would love to be able to get away with $3,500-$4,000 for rims, tires and the drop. The pics above represented the kinds of wheels I like - I actually love #1, but they are $1095/wheel and I'm just not spending that kind of cash. Per your recommendations, I looked at American Racing and stumbled upon the KMC Brodies which are available in chrome and matte black, see the pics below, what do you think? Anyone know how big the lip is on these?

THose look pretty good in the black, I would get them along with some Nitto 420s tires.
I have not heard/seen those wheels, but as long as they look good that is a good thing, so atleast you know they are not too common!

Modded - from your previous post, you said to go with coils, should I not do a spindle up front and then a rear coil? I'm looking for the best riding and reliable suspension, is that Pedders (no spindles), McGaughy's, Belltech?

Thanks again!!
