I just picked up a 2003 5.3L with 319k for $3k from a private owner. 2nd owner, truck always been in the South, brand new transmission (as of October), new battery, no leaks, and he has all of the maintenance records. The exterior and interior are immaculate (aside from a dent on the front bumper) and the thing drives great.

Since your Tahoe has a new transmission,new battery and best of all maintenance records I would say you got a very good deal. Have only 2 pervious owners who took good care of your Tahoe is also a big plus.

My 02 Tahoe had no dents when I got it except for the chrome section of the front bumper. Looks like yours is also the chrome part. Got mine from Amazon for I think about $225 and install was about 2 hours.
