Welcome aboard, Nice find on an 03' Z with less than a 100k, I've got the same truck but it's green. Looks like you're going the other way with it tho, I put bigger tires and changed the stance a bit on mine. Getting a Black Bear tune next week and can't wait. Is yours 4wd?

Sadly yes, I found that out when I was looking for mine cuz the 4wd was a deal breaker. Got pretty frustrating calling several car lots and the idiot salesman would tell me it had 4wd then try and sell me something else when I got there. From what I can tell z71 only indicates the towing package (upgraded hitch receiver, 3.73 rear end, dual piston calipers) along with leather, sunroof, and larger roof rack.

Interesting. I new they started plastering Z71 stuff on the later silvy but didn't know that about the Hoes. I was under the impression that all Z71 Hoes were 4wd. I learned something today :D

Looks great man! but the chrome esky roof rack and black rims might clash a little bit. Black and white with no chrome looks good. White and chrome also looks good. White black and chrome on the other hand is just a littttttle too much.

Did Z71 Hoes come in anything other than 4wd???

My 01 Z71 Tahoe was a Z71 4x4 as were a majority of the earlier years. In 05 my friend got one and it was a Z71 but 2 wheel drive.... the emblem on the C pillar also changed from the one I had which was silver and gold. The new one was black/silver/red and the one's that were 4x4 actually said 'Z71 4x4' whereas the 2 wheel drive one's just say 'Z71'.

Ok, this makes sense then. It looks like in the mid 2000's sometime they switched it to where the Z71 'package' was offered no matter if it was 2 or 4 wheel drive in both the trucks and suvs then. Interesting....
