Going out on a limb here, but my guess is he has a GMC Yukon which he uses to hunt the un-dead.

Hey thanks guys for the welcome. I've got a 2004 yukon slt that I don't want to get rid of for anything. It does need a 3-4 clutch pack, pass side outer tie rod, idler arm, lower ball joints, some other rubber and I'm looking for a newer set of wheels. It need maintenance and upkeep and then the mods. I have time to start right now. Anyone know a good rebuilder/installer for the 4L60e in LA? I would like to get it swapped out ASAP, crawling around in 2nd on the band is not cool. There are a lot of old svhool rebuilders outside of LA, its the shops here in the city I'm not sure I want to do business with.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. I've assembled parts and have more to get. Aslo, narrowed in to one local rebuilder/installer shop and one source for a basic stage 1 rebuilt 4l60e. I wasn't sure I had lost 3rd until I dropped the pan to do filter and A&B solenoids as a good try. Noticed the dark powder in fluid at bottom of the pan. Definitely fried up the friction material. A
