Just bought a 2000 with 187k miles on it, new transmission installed the day I picked it up (from local Chevy dealer, with al paperwork, etc). No issues whatsoever for first 2 weeks but 2 of last 5 days it has randomly, and only for a short time had issues shifting....instead of shifting at ~2000rpm it is getting up around ~3000 before shifting.

Any ideas what may be wrong?

Thanks, I wondered if there was any breaking in period that needed to occur. Never had a new transmission before!

yup, all kinds of lil gadgets are smoothing out bores and getting their groove on right now. just go easy on it for a few.
You might want to change fluid in a month or so...

keep driving it, like mentioned it still may be the new wearing in, but if it continues, take it back to dealer. New tranny should have a good warranty.
