Hi all,
I have admired 2 door suv's since I was a teenager, my love affair starting with ford broncos. My boss at the grocery store let me drive her bronco, absolutely loved it.
I wised up, after owning a F-150, 302, knocked a week after I bought it, and owned a dodge ram that I had to rev at stop light to keep oil pressure and became a GM man.
I have always wanted a Blazer/Yukon/Tahoe, but always needed a pickup truck. I used to look for a for sale sign on a 2 door Tahoe that was used by a local manufacturer for deliveries. Couldn't justify owning two vehicles just for myself, always had a late model silverado. Spent many a night shift stalking this forum, and a K5 forum with envy.
I got married, and the wife somehow got my sierra out of the deal, and I got a jeep grand cherokee. Drove it for two winters with no heat or defroster...
Finally, the dang thing died, crankshaft position sensor. Has 195,000 miles, and leaks just about anything in fluid form.
We (she) decided it was time for something new, and that she wanted to keep my truck.
I could finally justify buying something I actually wanted-
Here she is (Yukon, not Wife).
161,000 miles, stock as far as I can tell, but she seems like maybe she's been lifted a couple of inches.
Engine, transmission, radiator and 4wd work. Radio and cooler work too. Only problems is that she needs new exhaust, and not all of the cab lights work. I think a bulb may burn out in 20 years .
