Greetings folks! I'm looking into buying a car, and came across an auction. I'm really not sure about this method of buying. Can any of you folks share any car auction experiences? Whether good or bad, I'd like to hear/read from you.

Another thing, I've noticed some vehicles have rebuilt/salvage titles, is there any big deal buying one of those?

What do you folks think of it?

Salvage titles usually mean the vehcile has rebuilt or can be rebuilt. Usually they sell for
less due to the title. It can be a hit or miss on how the vehcile will handle as well due to the damage

so true. now you can have a salvage title for many reasons. look for frame damage underneath the truck, and in the door jambs where the hinges are.. my '05 Denali has a restored salvage title. got a good deal on it, so it doesn't bother me. but it all depends on you, insurance company can salvage out the title, and the vehicle be fine (theft recovery). but it depends on your state, some states dontallow or make provisions for restoring a salvage title. food for thought.

Make sure you do as much homework as you can before you buy it. You never know what kind of hidden damage there is
