Hi folks... First post here, looking forward to many more.

I just signed a deal to trade in our 2011 Acadia Denali in for a new 2013 loaded Yukon Denali. We're picking it up tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm stoked:cheers:

The Denali will be performing back 'n forth tow duties for my Harley, Z06 and 427 AC Cobra from our home in Virginia Beach Va to our other home on the Gulf coast of south Florida. It will also will be the wifes DD.

Since I'm a confirmed horsepower nut it should fit the bill well. The Z06 has 650 hp and the AC Cobra's running 725.

Zoom, zoom...

Greetings to all!!

Hi Dave.

I just traded in our '10 Acadia for '13 Yukon XL Denali.

We wanted to like the Acadia but we hated that engine and the constantly shifting transmission. We also expected a lot better fuel economy than we got.

One of the primary reasons we bought the Acadia was that we expected to get about 20 MPG and we really only got about 17 MPG.

In the end we figured if the fuel economy was going to be that poor, we might as well be driving a full size SUV.

We have had the Yukon XL Denali for about 3 weeks now and have been getting about 16.5 MPG so far.

It is so much more comfortable, smoother, quiet than the Acadia. Not to mention much bigger.

The only things I really miss are the HID headlights and the Heads Up Display.

Hope you like yours!

Kenric

I have already been looking into options for adding some nice HID projector headlights. In my case, my wife really misses those more than the HUD. But she still missed the HUD also.

Have also been looking into options for adding some sort of HUD as well.

Welcome aboard....

My '10 Denali gets between 16 and 17 on the road - cruising 75-80. I'm getting 14 or so around town (combined city and highway.)

Thanks to all for the very warm reception.

I too have been looking into HUD options. For the most part they all seem to be unreliable and inaccurate, reading customer reviews. Another problem is the needed square section of window tint they require for the projection. It's a bit cheesy for a $60K+ dollar vehicle.

If anyone has a good experience with an aftermarket one then please chime in.
