Nice garage. I'm waiting on my '13 Denali XL to hit the dealer. We will be getting rid of '10 Enclave. Welcome.

My impression also about the aftermarket OBD2 based HUDs.

But I still want one and I am still looking.

I am wondering if the HUD from another GM vehicle, like an Acadia for example, could be made to work. If I could find one from a salvage vehicle I might try it. Both are GM Common Arch.

Of course we would then have to get around the windshield problem. Since, as far as I know, no GMT900 has ever had an HUD, I don't suppose we could ever find a piece of replacement glass that would work. That leaves the thin film applied in the inside of the window for the display to reflect against. Not sure if I would like that or not.

And that's three of us in this thread that have recently traded in an Acadia/Enclave to move into a '13 Denali.

I think using an OEM would be very problematic as they're typically made/molded into the dash. The wiring harness would be a hassle too. GM could possibly block warranties with an intrusive mod. Just not worth it, IMHO. I think the wifey will need to suck it up on the absence of a HUD... Don't tell her I said that.:slap:

I towed my Harley with the Acadia in a 12' enclosed trailer for 1000 miles down to Florida and got 8.9 MPG. I ran most of the way in 4th gear as the Acadia didn't have the ballz to stay in 6th, or 5th. I only weighed about 2500 lbs total too.

Thanks Mill, mine should be in at the dealer tomorrow (fingers and toes crossed). It was dropped off in Tampa Friday which is only an hour from the Sarasota dealership.

I really like the Lamdas... too bad they have a gutless (for over 5000lbs), timing chain eating, water pump leaking V6. They're racked with a host of other problems too. Mine was stellar though, not one prob.

So just yesterday I filled up and for the first time I could get an accurate reading on MPG, having also filled up the previous time.

I got 16.2 MPG both calculated myself and on the DIC.

This was mixed driving and with about 800 on the odo.

I am happy as hell since I would have probably only gotten about 17 to 17.5 max MPG on the Acadia we traded in.
