Newbie Here! Blacked out Grille and lift gate emblems.

Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum. The girlfriend just bought a 2012 Tahoe, and its bone stock. She is in love with the look of the all blacked out look. I was wondering what the best quality for the money black Chevy emblems you guys are using? I tried the search function and couldn't find what I was looking for. Are the vinyl wrapped emblems better than the billet for the money? Which brand are you buying? I saw some pretty cool back-lit ones, but not in the colors that I wanted, plus they are pricey, can they be made? Sorry for so many questions and thanks for the help in advance!

Welcome to TYF. You can vinyl wrap it, use Plasti Dip (easiest and cheapest, as well you can remove it if you don't like it) or just debadge it for a smooth, clean look.

Wrap it. I paid like 95 bucks for 2 Chevy emblems on my Tahoe. Paid 20 to have the emblems on my Yukon wrapped.

Blacked out grill and headlights from Ebay, LED taillights also from Ebay but I had them tinted at a body shop. All the windows even the front windshield tinted 20%.

Good looking rides you guys have. Does the wrap on the emblems peel over time? Do they have wrinkles? I have a buddy who owns a powder coating shop, should I look into that, if the emblems are even a bondable surface?

Mine have been wrapped for about a yr now and are still perfect. No bubbles, no peeling, no wrinkles, and I wash my truck 2-3 times a week. I will see if I have some pics and get them up here.

If you can get hooked up with powdercoat I would do that. I had the guy that tinted my windows wrap mine do me.

Vinyl wrap is easy and cheap, and can be changed out if you decide to go a different route.
You can pick up some 12"x12" sample pieces for next to nothing on ebay.
