I don't have experience with wraps, are they hard to do yourself? or is it worth it to just get them done professionally? I like the idea, just do not want anything remotely close to plasti-dip.

If you're doing just the bowtie emblem, It's simple, Just like putting a sticker on, then trimming around the edge with a razor blade. If you're wanting to wrap the entire grille, that's a different story.

Plasti-dip is easy, but I too, didn't want the flat black, so I went with gloss black vinyl. It looked great, until I later changed to color matched silver vinyl

Personally, I have never wrapped anything myself. The "GMC" emblems look like they might be a challenge for a rookie, my opinion, it was 20 bucks well spent. Try the wrap, if you don't like it, pull it off.

Just did this. Here is your best bang for your buck:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/361305641268

$7.49 for two sheets of gloss black vinyl the size square you need for your front and rear bowtie. Then get an X-Acto knife. I got this for $5.90:

http://www.amazon.com/ELMERS-X-Acto-Knife-Silver-X3602/dp/B000V1QV7O

You clean/wash your bowtie. Dry it off. Clean off with an alcohol pad. Apply the vinyl sheet on the bowtie using a credit card and/or a heat gun/blow dryer to get it on there smooth and get all bubbles out. Then take the knife and you can actually stick it inside the spacing in between the silver and gold of the bowtie itself. Do NOT make curves when you cut. Just straight lines. Then BAM for less than $14 you have color matched gloss black bow ties. Way cheaper than paint, durable, and easy to remove: just peel off.

Awesome, very helpful. And if you don't mind me asking, what wheels are you running, I like the uniqueness of them. If had them powder coated in black, they would definitely go with what she is looking for, I think.

No prob buddy. I'm running 2015 GM OEM CK161 22x9 wheels on toyo proxes st 285/45/22 (factory size, factory upgrade step up from the bridgestone dueler). I got them bc they're rare and I rarely see them anywhere or online even.

Good looking rides you guys have. Does the wrap on the emblems peel over time? Do they have wrinkles? I have a buddy who owns a powder coating shop, should I look into that, if the emblems are even a bondable surface?

Honestly I took my emblems off and used hammered black spray paint and replaced them on the vehicle. It has been about 6 months and I haven't had any issues and don't foresee any issues very soon.

Sorry Guys I forgot to upload the results, I ended up throwing in some 10K HID headlights as well, what a pain, who knew you have to drop the bumper to pull the headlight housing out? Thanks Chevy!IMG_4024.JPG IMG_4028.JPG IMG_4029.JPG
