I am original owner of 1999 Tahoe 2 door with 350 engine. I have a leak in fuel line just to rear of line joint to rear of fuel filter. I want to replace the line from the tank to the filter, but GM says discontinued. Can anyone tell me where to get a fuel supply line? al GM dealership ordered one for me but it was the wrong one as it was obviously too short. It was part number 15733140. GMpartsdirect and Chevyparts GM are no help. OR........Can I cut the bad section of line out and use hose and clamps like the old days? Thanks in advance.

that is the line from in back of the filter to where the frame rail angles up and a new section of fuel lines start to go to the fuel tank. 15722221 is the section that goes from there to the tank.

Honestly get yourself a roll of line, a flare tool and some unions and replace it by hand. I had to replace a bunch of brake line and what not on another project and I dreaded it, it wasn't all that bad and was pretty easy once you got the hang of the tool.

You can use rubber line but it has to be able to withstand the pressure. I like the Jeg's double jacketed line myself ... I have some on my truck from the pump tot he hard line and again at the back of the TB unit. Nice bright yellow to catch your eye. :D

Hey, yellow is reserved for supplemental restraint systems now-a-days. you need to re-color to be ASE and federally compliant. We used red in aviation and on G.S.E. to identify fuel lines so get on it. :)
