Hey guys,

I have searched, but haven't found a real solid answer...can anyone point me to a full catback dual exhaust for the 2 door 99? Where can I find one, and the part number please? I am looking for the rear exit, not sides. I have seen a lot of Tahoe/Yukons where they are rear exit on the sides of the tow hitch, and thats what I am looking for and want. Can his be purchased as a kit, or are they all fabricated at the muffler shop?
Also...any drawbacks on doing a dual exhaust like this?
Any help would really be appreciated. Sorry if this has been beaten to death...I just didnt find an answer.
Thanks a lot!

Hey everyone,

I figure pictures are always a good thing, so this is what I was trying to explain:

Is it a bad idea to have it exit the rear if you have the barn doors, rather than the sides?

I was told that its not good, due to exhaust fumes getting in... Mine is exit the stock location. I think that the only company that makes a catback for 2-door is flowmaster force exhaust. kinda hard to find sometimes. its a old model i think. It easier to just go get it done by a shop.

Thats what I was afraid of...so it better to have them exit the sides...makes sense.
So what am I looking at price wise to have it exit a dual exhaust off the sides done by a shop? Sounds expensive!
Also...any draw back with a dual exit set up...back pressure or anything?
Thanks for the help and advise! It is appreciated!

I had my cat back done at a shop and cost $250 for 2 Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and stainless steel tips, but that was 6 years ago. Mine exits straight out back and I haven't had any problems with exhaust getting into the cab area. I do plan on redoing the exhaust with headers and all at some point.

Thanks so much...exactly what I was looking for.
How does it sound? Is it really loud? I am not looking for anything obnoxious...just a nice low rumble that you notice rolling down the street.

Exit out the back is fine as long as you don't tow anything ... if you do I would do the side exits. As far as one door style letting more fumes in, I would find it hard to believe.

I didnt really take much stock in what the guy said about the straight out the back style in fumes. I was just saying what he said. I personally like the 45 degree angles out both sides. In about a week im doing headers and a custom exhaust to a 45 degree out the passenger side. ill make a post on it when i start it. the 50 series might be what you are looking for. ITs loud when your on it and when your cruising at 40-55 its noticeable. but at 70 you can hardly hear it. thats what i like about it.
