Hey guys getting ready to get a 97 tahoe. Trading in my 97 expedition. Though it may have trans issue. Makes noise when in reverse

Good choice, even with an iffy trans. What kind of noise? Banging? Grinding? Clunking?

Welcome, check the fluid if it's clunking it could be low

Kinda grinding not a klunking. I will have it sunday or monday. First thing to go is the big rubber band wheels and tires. People who had it before the guy I'm getting it from put them on and didn't bother doing an alignment. Hopefully just getting rid of them will solve that problem. I have a guy who wants to do a straight up trade for them. Has some rust but not looking for a show truck.....yet
