Is this what I am looking at?

I am assuming this is a high low system for one headlight, again, forgive the newbness.

I am also guessing that this is the harness you speak of.

yup those are what you need, but since you have the tahoe (right?) ha, then you dont need the high low as we have separate lights. So you would need the H11 bulb

and yes that is the harness

ok i called the local custom shop yesterday. The kit was $95 and would take a week to come in. Labor runs between $60-100 depending on what they have to remove. Is this something I could do myself and save money?

try ddm, they are cheaper and have a lifetime warranty. Yes it is definitely something you can do yourself, there are many a thread on how to do it, just have to search. save the money

Full HID Kit Includes:
- 2 DDM Digital Slim ballasts
- 2 HID Bulbs
- Life-Time Warranty

so if you are just buying for the low beams then all you need to do is order one as the kit includes ^

the wiring harness: all you need is one, it will connect to a set of lights. One wiring harness per set of lights

ok i checked ddm's website. the install looks good. hell for $20 more with the hi's hell yeah. kit comes out to be $59. Now on the yukons whats the best way to get to the lights? I have heard you have to take the front bumper off. really don't want to do that. I have never done this before but the install looked pretty easy.

im not sure about the yukons, but for the tahoes it was generally the same way (had to go up under the wheel well and unbolt a bunch of randoms screws). I found it easier to undo the top two bolts and pull on the light as best i could without breaking it. It was enough to fit my hand to change the bulb.

I installed motorized single zenon 6000k Hi/lo HIDs from a company called Beamers. Don't know much about them though.
