you're right most people don't...but they should. It puts some extra strain on the tranny. Robs the truck of acceleration. Imagine after you did all that to the truck that it is no slower, it would suck right. 4.56 gears with a 35" tire will feel stock 35" tires with a 3.42 or 3.73 gear will feel sluggish. Trust me I went through it. Ask many of the lifted guys here. Or lift it and run a wide 33" and keep the stock gears. That will not hurt so much
