Any idea what GM's plan is for the Tahoes/Yukons after 2012? NBS was from 01-06, so I'm assuming NNBS would be from 07-12. Will there be a new body style or I've also heard on here that they may discontinue?

A 2013 concept vehicle image shows Tahoe may offer something similar to the Avalanche and Ford Sportrac? But I think this image is probably the Avalanche in reality.... which might indicate what the Tahoe will look like.

And if General Motors follows what Ford did with the Explorer, the Tahoe could end up looking like this? I would bet on this being the next generation Tahoe/Suburban and Yukon/ Yukon XL.

Well, I'm sure! Those renderings are God-awful UGLY! Is this going to be another example of taking something that isn't broken and breaking it?

I actually like the second one a lot, the red one. As long as they don't downsize it. If downsized, they will totally ruin the vehicle. But.... that's the trend now to achieve gas mileage.... shorter, narrower, and not as heavy.

For what it's worth.....

May 26, 2011

ARLINGTON, Texas — General Motors said Thursday that it will invest $331 million to produce the next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade at its Arlington plant.

The new full-size SUVs are expected to go into production in calendar year 2013 as 2014 models. The redesigned Tahoe and Suburban and their sister models at GMC and Cadillac are expected to be considerably lighter, with smaller, more efficient engines.

In a statement, GM said the future SUVs would "offer better fuel efficiency than ever before without sacrificing the features and functionality (buyers have) come to expect."

GM in recent weeks has announced similar investments at plants in Detroit, Flint, Toledo and Bowling Green.

This is why I think the red one pictured above is the future.

Hard to get an idea of scale on the drawing that sheriff posted but that looks a lot like the now deceased dodge magnum.

Okay, what about towing. Didn't they just describe a Equinox or Traverse.
