Hey all, I'm installing new rotors on my truck. I just received the rotors, and found these small nicks. Is this a concern, or just a normal machining inconsistency?

If that is the only one, I would not worry about it. You said nicks, I see one. Make sure to clean thoroughly with Brake Clean and a CLEAN rag/towel.

What brand rotors are they?

Some people pay for such things (albeit in a little less random pattern), will work fine. On the other hand, when I buy something new, I want it to be blemish free unless I get a discount for buying blemished goods.

Also, just me, but if I got something like that and decided the hassle to return was too great, I would be checking runout very carefully before just driving on.

Agree. Need to check that runout before mounting on vehicle, on a brake lathe or mount with grease and bearings and then check runout on vehicle.

There is another similar nick above the obvious one, lighting in garage was just not very good to capture it. I appreciate your response, it was reassuring. They are centric c-tek rotors.
