I've been trolling Craigslist in search of some inexpensive rims to mount snow tires on.

I found a set of four 17" steel Nissan Titan rims. I know the Titan's bolt pattern is a match, I have a 20" Titan rim with a matched tire on it under my Yukon as a full sized spare. The questions is does any one know if I can swap out the plastic Nissan center cap with a GMC 6-lug center cap?

Here is what the rims look like in all their plasti-dip glory:

And I am hoping I can install this type of cover on them:

Any thought, suggestions, or personal experience would be appreciated.

Pull your spare and test?
My spare is a 20" smooth faced six spoke aluminum rim.

These are steelies with a center hub cap. I also don't own the GMC covers yet. I found one ebay listing that said they were 7.25" at the base. I have an email in to the Craigslist seller to see if he can give me a measurement of the Nissan covers.

They should fit. Might not be 100% flush though. Those mount by the lug nuts, and the the bolt pattern is the same on both so that part will work

No clue . I didn't have steel rims. But I would bet the gmc caps would fit. Not sure if like what Shawn said if they'll sit flush on the wheel or have a slight gap.
This is a new one as I don't think over ever seen Nissan steels on a gm before.

Comparing the location of the lug nuts in relation to the edge of the center cap, it looks like the GMC one is a smaller diameter. So, if the Nissan one sits inside of a recessed circle, then the GMC one should fit with a little room to spare. As for the other fitments, it's gonna have to be tried it out in person. My guess is they'll work.

Your observations are correct. Still no reply from the seller, but I found out that the Nissan cap is 7.75" and the GMC cap is 7.25".

I'm familiar how they mount with the threads on the head of the lug nuts that the decorative cap bolts screw onto, I had similar ones on my old Astro.

If I hear from the seller I will try a test fit, and report back.

I think your safe to buy both and be good to go. I would run GM wheels though. My titan wheels are super tight on the hub centric part
