He has excellent reviews. Might consider going to him for a tune next time I am in the NYC area. Looks like about 4 hours away.Jeez, you guys. Eric O at South Main Auto in Avoca, NY. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtAGzm9e_liY7ko1PBhzTHA

I do use his services. Virtually, of course.
You know that I'm in Denver but I worked for Adelphia Communications (cable operator) for a few years while we pulled the company out of bankruptcy. The main office was in Coudersport, PA, up by the New York border. We would regularly fly to Pittsburgh, PA and fly a small Cessna up to Wellsville, NY, which is not all that far from Avoca. If I'd have known about him back then, I'd have made an effort to stop by his shop and bother him for a few minutes. He's probably fortunate that I didn't.
I've done some drinking in Coudersport area back in the day.
Yup there is a sign that says just that when you cross the county line. Wharton Tavern was my watering hole. Then up the road is the Austin Dam memorial park. Never forget visiting that place.Potter County -- God's Country. So they say.

I find most of the times I know more about my vehicle than the mechanics. It's a shame really.Unfortunately I'm still looking for an honest/good one myself.
Same, plus they do shoddy work.I find most of the times I know more about my vehicle than the mechanics. It's a shame really.
