So I had this idea a while back, once again inspired by the Esky Premium, with its modified liftgate appliqué. It has only the bottom chrome strip as opposed to the other eskys which have the whole thing chrome.

So I bought one of the relatively cheap all chrome covers and had my paint guy paint all but the bottom to try to emulate the same effect:

The idea was to either leave it plain, or stick a red or chrome GMC emblem in the center above the chrome strip. As opposed to the esky one, the chrome strip is slightly thinner because my instructions were to match the height of the chrome strip on the bumper.

Anyhoot, I'm not going to use it so if someone else wants it it's up for sale.

Tbh it's not perfect, these things are cheaply made so it's got a couple of small indentations on it, and the transition tween the chrome and the paint is meh to my detail oriented eyes.

It's painted WDT and it still has the original double sided tape on the back.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but $60 shipped gets it.

If nothing else it might also be a neat thing for someone else to do.

Cheers!

interested. this rids the Chevy Logo correct?

Yes it does bud, but honestly I can't see where it's worth for anyone without WDT paint to buy it. They're going to have to repaint it anyway and it's about the same price for a new chrome one that they can do so from scratch.

I'm just a terrible businessman. :(

I have a better idea. Go try and sell it on the escalade forums as an oem part. They prolly will pay 4 million dollars :chicken:
