And its back...****. They replaced 4 lifters, so I'm guessing 2 on each cylinder? They replaced them on "7" so knowing my luck its now the passenger side or 4,6. Will read the code later and see what it says. God this pisses me off

A bad lifter will often take out the cam....if they didnt replace the cam as well it probably took out the new lifters.

Nope code read cylinder 4, the opposite side. So now I'm going to ***** at them and ask if they knew the ones were bad then why didn't they look at the other side just to see including it had a multiple cylinder misfire code

Thats exactly right. I took it to chevy this morning and said I came in with code P0300 - Multiple cylinder misfire so by the time they got around to check it I understand it was Cylinder 7. But then you replaced 4 lifters (2 per cylinder) and did 1 even though it wasn't the one you were working on. If I was the tech and saw that the afm lifters were bad on one side I would of just guessed the others were probably bad too. So now not even 150 miles later you are going to have to go back in and replace the ones on the other side and I will get stuck with a $250 bill again over something that could and really should of been done last time. The service person just kind of shook his head and said well 7 was the only one that didn't have compression or anything. I was like ok, but you still replaced the lifters on 1 too though didn't you because you said 4 were changed and there is only 2 per cylinder right. He of course didn't say anything after that. I was irritated at this point and said well why you are at it just go ahead and throw a new spark plug in 8 since you will have it all apart anyways so I don't have to screw with it. He then asked if I had the plug and I looked at him and was like no just put in a stock AC Delco

At least it has 142xxx miles and with the new afm lifters I hope it will last another at least 140K. I will be putting an air compressor filter on as a oil catch can when we get it back to help this out and will be contacting Black Bear to see if it is worth it to get a tune. Its the kid hauler so if he can fix this problem and get me better mpg (only 13-15 MOSTLY HIGHWAY right now) then I might have to bit the bullet and pony up the dough to get it done.
