Okay gurus, I need some advice on my Denali... I have no lowbeam or DRL function, however the park lights and highbeams work just fine. I've checked relays and bulbs, to no avail. I'm thinking maybe the multifunction switch is bad, but that doesn't explain the lack of DRL. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

You're talking about the headlight switch on the dash, not the multifunction switch on the column, right?

Also, if the switch was bad, wouldn't my parking lights not work when the lowbeams are supposed to be on? Not trying to contradict, just trying to understand.

Ah, gotcha. Is that a common problem on these trucks? Because I can switch from high to low all day, but the lowbeams don't actually light up. Weird.

lol no, I was talking about a faulty headlamp switch. Now, provided I'm getting voltage on both those leads, where would be the next place to check? When I pull the multifunction switch, the highbeam indicator comes on and off like it should, so I'm doubting that's the problem.

They don't last forever. The switch(like many other manufactures use/have used) has the full power to the head lights going through it. They can burn up over time.

Do as sunlit said in post 2. The dash bezel and headlight switch come out pretty easy.

I'm gonna fiddle with it tonight and over the weekend. I plan on fixing the coolant leak, and patching the evap hose I broke when I was changing the fuel pressure regulator in that horrible spider injection system. Yes, I know I should have just converted it, but I'm not trying to spend more money than I absolutely have to.

So, goals for this weekend:

-Diagnose lowbeam headlight/DRL/fog lights not working (Haven't checked fog bulbs, likely blown)
-Fix coolant leak from heater valve... thing.
-Fix Evap hose
-Disable DRL in preparation for HID
-Swear a lot
-Fill her up with fresh fuel, to test fuel gauge
-Remove 4wd switch, figure out where the loose connection is
-Do a burnout. Okay, maybe not.
