no sound from front speakers..

when i bought my 96 yukon gt 2dr about a month ago it had no sound coming from the front speakers...i put a pioneer HU in it and still no sound. this weekend im having my pioneer avic-n2 and complete system installed along with new front door speakers, but i just thought of something..

I could see one speaker blowing, or maybe even two over time...but i have no sound AT ALL from the front, not even from the tweeters. what would cause no sound from the doors at all including the tweeters? aren't the tweeters separate from the actual speaker? (havent had the door panels off yet).

i need to figure this out by the weekend, ill be mad as hell if i have bass in the back but no words up front lol.

possibly a wire tear

I had this happen when I bought my used Tahoe. For me, It was both speakers completly blown and also there was a tear in the wire that was grounding out and causing no music to come out.

X3 on that it's a wire problem between the speakers and the headunit somewhere in the middle...
