disconnect battery, let sit for a few minutes, re-attach...should clear code. If it pops up again, have it read.

Since you can read the code, I am assuming that you have access to a code reader. Clear the code with the reader and if it still a problem, than the code will re-appear. If the problem was intermittent for some reason, than the code should not come back.

If you don't use a code reader to clear the code, it will take several driving cycles for the code to go away on it's own, assuming an intermittent problem.

I took it to auto zone for a quick scan and they cant clear it, only read it. I got the front diff out now fir rebuilding. The bearings were totally smoked. Maybe it picked up some vibration or something from there. I wasnt sure if pulling the battery would clear the liht or not. Figured i would drive it for a couple days and hope that it goes away.

Any body know where the sensor is located?

The knock sensors don't throw a code when it detects a knock...it uses that information to adjust the timing and what not to PREVENT the knock. If you're getting a low voltage signal, you probably have the knock sensor issue that many have with these motors. I just replaced both knock sensors on my 2003.

The location of these sensors is what is to blame. They are in the valley of the motor, in recessed little crannies. These little crannies fill up with water and corrode the harness and sensor. If I were you, I'd order both sensors, and the replacement harness...and a new intake manifold gasket. I got all the parts I needed for $150 from Rock Auto and eBay. The job wasn't difficult at all.

Good luck.

Here's the Amazon link to the knock sensors:

http://www.amazon.com/Delphi-AS1001...HTC4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308788471&sr=8-1

Intake manifold gasket: (check your VIN first...there are two different intake manifolds...if your VIN has a "Z" in it, you have flex fuel...if no "Z" you have the regular gas motor. Order accordingly)

http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-89060...2WMQ/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1308788696&sr=8-6

Got my harness from these guys (I did find some others cheaper on eBay...but only by a couple of dollars...and they weren't actually new IN packaging, so I went with these guys)

I did a lot of comparison shopping, and I think I was able to save the most money by ordering from Rock Auto...well, everything except the harness. Get the harness from the eBay seller I linked to.

The knock sensors that you need look EXACTLY like the ones I linked. I promise.
