When transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd, happens more when tranny is cold, I get a noise mid-shift that sounds like the squeak that a bad shock absorber makes. The noise is coming from the general vicinity of below the firewall, middle of the vehicle. I can also 'feel' the squeak through the gas pedal.
Any thoughts?
Tranny mount going bad?
Clutch band wearing out?
Self-destruct activated?
