Non functional liftgate button.

I have 07 Tahoe LTZ.
Liftgate opens from fob or from the overhead button.
Handle button on the liftgate produces no result.
rear glass window button liftgate works fine.
Fuse #44, which is rear door fuse, is not blown.
Any more fuses to look at or, what else is wrong?

Its probably the switch in the handle.

That's what I was told. How do I get to it?

1. You’re lucky you have a way to still release to hatch without drilling the trim to access the manual release.

2. I understand you have to remove the inner trim, all of it, from the hatch to remove the handle to then replace the switch.

I’ve heard about the issue, but haven’t experience it yet. I did have the glass switch fail on one of mine.

Make sure all the doors are unlocked when trying to open the liftgate with the outside button on the rear handle.
