Quick question. What is normal idle speed? Mine is a 00 yukon and previous owner has a Tune in the PCM and it idles right there at 500rpm.
Is that normal? Just unsure.

Man I love my yukon and wanna keep it forever. 191k on her still going strong. Shes clean too!!2ccfbcd85215a444ca5cf1a4a73f5530.jpg381ce890e5697d1e48e3190666137f21.jpg

ya normal operation is between 500-600, they may have made it 500 on purpose, unless it is having trouble staying running then you should be fine with it like that. If it ever starts to die on you idling or won't idle correctly then you may need to clean the throttle body, maf, iac, new air filter. throwing in some injector cleaner on a regular basis helps too.

Thanks a bunch guys. No problems starting when cold.

Sometimes I have issues restarting when its all warmed up.
Itll kinda bog and sputter around 200ish for a second or 2 and then itll come out of it and idle normally around 500

Sounds like some maintenance is needed. I would clean the throttle bore and get the correct cleaner for the MAP/MAF at the parts store and follow those directions. Plus, how old is the fuel filter and the age of the plugs and wires?

Do you have check engine light if not clean TB clean IAC and check for air leaks after MAF because thatcan cause a low idle too

Will do.

I do think there is a vacuum leak on a PCV tube i think it is? Its on the drivers side of the engine and runs from the middle of the intake manifold down to the rear of the valve cover. I think that line has a small crack in it
