Not exactly Stealth.... But how about (2) 10's in the rear quarter panel, with no loss of floorspace

Thanks alot! Wasn't easy. But turned out pretty good. I do miss having all the bass outfront. Just couldn't get enough airspace while keeping all my storage to get it loud enough for me.

Ya it looks great! I love the detail. I built one for my sierra for 2 12's that sounds great but its missing that custom touch!20170414_104251.jpg 20170414_104256.jpg 20170414_104315.jpg 20170414_104325.jpg

Not that it's going to change how anything looks, but I found a couple of Powerbass M1004D subs to replace the S1004's I had. A local pawn shop had them for $30 each, compared to $75-80+ on e-Bay.

The M's can handle an additional 100 watts each, but they are also dual voice coil! Now I can run the Lightning Audio amp at 1-ohm mono, get the most power out of it I can. At 2-ohm, it was only pushing 500 watts, split between the two S1004's, Now I'm pushing 1000 watts, split between the two M1004D's. Double the power, gain 3dB with all else being equal - but they are NOT equal! The M's have a higher sensitivity too, 91dB vs 86db for the S's.

So, if the stars are aligning, and the full moon is out, and I stand on one foot while scratching my ass, I "should" be about 8dB louder than what I had before.

Also dependant on what that lightning audio amp actually puts out. Rated for 1k. I'm guessing at best it puts out 600 clean watts...

I'm well aware of what the manufacturers put on their amps. Some are severely overrated, while a bunch are actually underrated. Even if the LA amp is close to rated (or if it's only 600watts), it's plenty enough for me, for now.....

I was just making sure lol.

How are you liking those power bass subs? Buddy if mine had 3 of their high end 15s. They were sick. Just unsure of the lower end ones. I almost bought a bunch of them when my wholesale place picked up PB, but never did.

The new(er) 4XL 15's are just nasty. Straight up, balls in your throat nasty.

I've had the S10's for about 8 years, had them in a center console in my old '96 Tahoe. Sounded great, used them to anchor the low end to the front stage. I had a pair of Celestion AD15H's in the rear, 2.0 cu ft each fiberglassed into the rear quarter panels, those weren't incredibly loud, just played very low.

When I sold the Tahoe, I put the 10's in my older Suburban, building the enclosure into the rear quarterpanel. More room in the 'Burb, easily able to fit them both on one side. When that got totaled, I did the same thing in the Yukon XL.

Don't get me wrong, there are no Sundown, Fi, SSA, DC Audio or Tantric, or any other sub at over $500 for a 10". But for what I want, these are great, even at the $80 or so they sell for on E-Bay. Reminds me of the OLD JBL Gti series from the early 90's. The M series handle a bit more power than the S's, and have a higher sensitivity.
