Every CPO delivers confidence with two warranties backed by the companies that built the vehicles. . 6-Year/100,000-Mile2 Powertrain Limited Warranty . 12-Month/12,000-Mile3 Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty . $0 Deductible and Transferable
This^^^

This is what the pamphlet says. And also says it doesn’t cover normal wear or neglect. That’s the limited part. It does not give a full itemized list though. So it seems as though they can decide as they go as to what they will cover. I had the same warranty on the Cadillac we had previously and never had an issue. They fixed everything without question. And there were lots of issues with that thing.

The dealership just blew me off. Said I should have bought from them. My job moves me every few years so I don’t have the luxury of developing a good relationship with a dealership. I asked them is they could give me the number to a regional guy and they actually laughed and said no.

The customer service call center is pretty much useless too. They refuse to let me talk with anyone that makes a decision.

I had been a diehard GM guy since I bought my 1st car when I was 14. Have had dozens of GMs, new and used, over the years. Out of the last three I owned, I sold one right before it ran out of warranty and the other two within two years of ownership. One of them, a 2011 RS/SS Camaro convertible six speed was an absolutely amazing toy, but it had electrical gremlins that they could not figure out. I traded that one in with less than 5000 miles on it and told myself I was done with GM. But my wife wanted a Tahoe and I’ve always liked them too, so here we are. Two months in and I’m concerned that we made a bad decision. If they are going to deny the warranty claim on something so simple, inexpensive, and common, what will happen if/when there’s a significant issue!?!?

If any dealer used such words with me I would politely ask for the keys to my vehicle, tell them to **** off, and make sure they knew it was quite unfortunate that ignorant ***** like them actually represent the Chevrolet/GMC brand (using the word **** isn’t polite but you get the point..)

You need to find a new dealer to service your vehicle, even if it’s a little farther drive.

Time to contact the BBB. That will get someone’s attention.

if it is a GM warranty then you can take it to any GM dealership from sea to sea, just like my waterpump is a Mr Goodwrench waterpump if it ever fails I can take it to any GM dealer and have it replaced 100% free for life.

I went in and talked to the service manager. He showed me that it wasn’t in their computer system as a part covered under warranty. He told me that they reached out to the warranty department and were told it was not covered. I told him about the guys comment about “should have bought from us” and he explained that if I had purchased the vehicle at that dealership they would have covered the cost even though GM won’t, just to keep one of their customers happy. I guess I can understand that, but I told him he needs to have his people work on their customer service/tact a bit because when the guy told me that over the phone he left out the explanation and just sounded like a condescending ass! He apologized for the hassle and added that he couldn’t believe GM wouldn’t cover it.

Anyone else have any issues with the the GM Certified Warranty?

I understand this. When I decided to buy used instead of new I also decided I would only get a Certified Pre-Owned because of the GM Warranty and the ability to take it in for service at any dealership. My issue is that GM seems to pick and choose what they want to cover under this warranty. My Caddy was used and had the same warranty. I took that car to 5 dealerships in 3 states and never had an issue with things being covered. I don’t understand why it would be any different with the Tahoe.

You were there, taking your rig in for service, does not make you a customer?

Or, even, do they not want MORE customers?

And...
You probably have, some way at least, to communicate your bad experience there to others. Have they thought about that?

And, finally...
Some day, there will be computers in every house. Then you probably be able to share your experience, on something that I am calling the interwebs, with millions of people.
