Not to sure of what I should do.

Took my truck into get an oil change this past weekend and noticed that at my next oil change the mileage will hit over 100k. I just wanted to know if when it does hit 100k should I take it into the dealer for a complete overhaul of the engine and tranny or would it just be a waste of money.

I would definitely have the motor and transmission completely overhauled.....It may blow up shortly after 100,000. Better to be safe than sorry

I would never overhaul it just for fun, unless you plan on doing some serious modifications to it.

These engines are good for more than a 100K.

This is not 1970.

According to the service manual at 97,500 you should:
Rotate tires & Change engine oil and filter if needed
Change air cleaner (actually thats at 90k)
Change spark plugs & inspect spark plug wires
Change tranny fluid & filter
Change transfer case fluid & filter (if AWD or 4WD)

These things are a lot more reliable than they used to be
Also keep in mind your powertrain warranty expires at 100k (or 5 years, whichever comes first) so if there is anything you'd want to get fixed or looked at I'd do that while it's still under warranty.
